Communication Through Memes: Miles Makes Memes

When online or scrolling through social media, you’ve most likely seen a meme, which is an image (animated or not), often accompanied by text, with the intent of creating a humorous message related to a specific topic or theme. Memes have helped me express myself in ways that are more effective than just words, whether it’s an image that I want people to react to or an image showing my reaction. This interest has led me to start my social media page, Miles Makes Memes. The website prototype designed in Figma acts as an archive for the memes that I have created and shared so far. The site also includes a tutorial that people can follow to make their own memes and show how to properly apply them to conversations. I’ve had a lot of fun creating memes that others could relate to, and as a result, have grown closer to others by persuading them to use memes as a form of communication.
